A trip to Toledo, Oregon did a body, mind, and soul some good. The instant quiet of nature away from the bustle of city life always relaxes me. The morning air after a nice rain.

My sister wanted to get to the water so we decided to take a drive to Fall Creek today with my dog Loki. Luke warm water today with a high of 87 there were a few boats out; other than one family gathering we were on our own for the most part.
Fall Creek is an unincorporated community southeast of Springfield/Eugene. In 2000 there were only 1553 people living there. Not sure there’s any more than that.
Fall Creek has spots for boats, camping, picnics, hikes, and appears dog friendly. At least Loki thought so.
All in all a relaxing afternoon with my sister and our guy Loki, enjoying the Oregon summer.
We drove through Sisters, Oregon this weekend on our way to see my brother and sister-in-law. I’ve decided I’ve got to spend some more time in this beautiful town and made plans to meet up with Lisa hopefully in the next year for a little get away. Oregon never ceases to amaze me both in the stunning natural creations but also the diversity of sights to see.
Avi & friends put together a beautiful time together this afternoon. He shared with us his life with SarahLyn and their adventures over the years. It was clear she has been loved by many. Of the many things I learned about SarahLyn, one thing I loved hearing about was that the masks she made were all made from her molding them to her own face. Appreciate seeing these many faces of SarahLyn, so creative, talented, funny, determined, and head strong.
Seriously, today is Wednesday and I’m already aching to take photographs & so far I just haven’t remembered to lug the camera to work! Yesterday on my lunch break I started taking photos with my cell phone (which I dislike because the pictures are way too grainy & I’m just not patient with the whole touch screen phone camera shooting). Oy.
