Totally forgot that I had photos to post from my trip to Florida. I visited a couple friends in Gainesville and was able to go to Sarasota to the number 1 rated beach in the US! Siesta Key beach is beautiful (oh and I brought home a sunburn). Was totally bummed my good camera was not fixed in time for my trip so my Canon PowerShot A590 had to come out of storage. We also traveled to Blue Springs, which I think had the most teal blue water I have ever seen. As well as two turtles who were about a foot and a half in diameter.

Just couldn’t pass this photo opportunity up. So freaking cute I just want to eat ’em up.
Home from soccer, reading emails and posting on Facebook I look over to see these two snuggling up. We’ve been feeling bad for our cat Sensei lately because her sister Katara does not seem to want to come inside much at all recently (it couldn’t be the 4 dogs now could it?). But seeing these two, well I’d say she’s found herself a sweetheart.
Happy 11th Birthday to one of the most creative, courageous, funny, brave young girls I know. I love you Alana and I know your mom would be so proud of you.
Kendra and I have re-started our Saturday morning walks a few weeks ago; today my camera came along. No matter how long I’ve lived here, I still find myself amazed by the natural beauty that surrounds us.
I got to have lunch with my friend Hillary, her daughter Malia and her friend Cristina and her daughter Madison. We noticed they were wearing the same style shirt, both striped and purple with black jeans. I got the honor of sitting next to these jumping jelly beans who enjoyed bouncing on the seat as we had Chinese for lunch. They were good sports when I asked if they wouldn’t mind posing for a photo. Their moms told me a very cute story where Madison was being asked to spell out her first and and last name. She corrected her teacher and told her that her name was Madison Hogan. This is funny because Hogan is Hillary and Malia’s last name. So I guess Madison has adopted herself a family!
